# VegaDB preview

> Understand the planned VegaDB product area and its current availability.

# VegaDB is in preview

VegaDB is the planned data-warehouse area of VegaLake. The dashboard currently reserves navigation for **Database**, **Worksheets**, **Warehouses**, and **Audit Logs**, but those pages are not yet implemented.

<Warning>
  VegaDB does not currently provide a supported operational workflow in the VegaLake dashboard. There is also no public VegaDB API contract in the current platform documentation.
</Warning>

## Planned product areas

| Area       | Intended purpose                        | Current status          |
| ---------- | --------------------------------------- | ----------------------- |
| Database | Organize and inspect database resources | Preview navigation only |
| Worksheets | Work with saved SQL authoring sessions | Preview navigation only |
| Warehouses | Manage data-warehouse compute           | Preview navigation only |
| Audit Logs | Review product activity | Preview navigation only |

These descriptions communicate product direction, not released behavior. The documentation will add setup steps, constraints, and API details only after an implementation and canonical contract exist.

## What you can use now

* Use [VegaFlow](/vegaflow/introduction) for supported connection, cluster, QuickFlow, run, and schedule workflows.
* Use [VegaGraph](/vegagraph/introduction) for metadata discovery, Entity 360, contexts, and lineage.
* Use [platform administration](/platform/organizations-and-workspaces) to prepare organizations, workspaces, identities, and permissions.

See [VegaDB availability](/vegadb/quickstart) for a readiness checklist.
